What's The Deal With JEWISH DELI CLUB?
We explore and celebrate Jewish delis.
Every few weeks we meet and eat, nosh and schmooze, enjoy an egg cream and kvetch if needed. (It’s a laid back, low-commitment club.)
Anyone nice is welcome at the Jewish Deli Club whether you celebrate all nights of Hanukkah or none and whether you’re actually Jewish or just love a deli. (All pastrami lovers welcome!)
The only rules: (1) be kind and (2) tell someone if they have schmutz on their face.

PAST EVENT: CANTER'S DELI
AUGUST 3, 12:00 PM
The kickoff: Jacqueline Canter, a third generation Canter of Canter’s Deli will give us some history and (rumor has it) a tour of the kitchen, pickle room, and bakery. The adjacent bar, The Kibitz Room, is open from 11 am so we can always wander next door to keep hanging too.

Langer's Delicatessen-Restaurant
OCTOBER 4, 11:00 am
We’re headed to Langer's which is best known for its No.19 pastrami on rye sandwich. The Los Angeles Times allegedly called it "the Marilyn Monroe of pastrami sandwiches". We’ll chat with owner Norm Langer and a chef who has been slinging sandwiches and more for 30+ years.

Brent's Deli Northridge
DATE & TIME TBD
We’ll meet in Northridge to visit Brent’s Deli which was established in 1967. Let’s hang out while eating their famous mile-high reuben sandwiches and matzo ball soup.
SAY HEY (or OY VEH)
Do you run a deli and want us to visit? Want to tell me this idea is meshuggeneh? Thanks in advance for being a mensch.
